Inspection methods for patterned glass

May 18, 2026 Leave a message

The inspection methods for glass dimensional deviations (including skewness), missing corners, curvature, edge protrusions, and defects shall be in accordance with the relevant provisions of "Flat Glass" (GB 11614-2009).

Glass thickness shall be measured at the midpoint of all four sides using a 50mm diameter gauge.

When inspecting glass for lines, heat rings, inclusions, bubbles, wrinkles, scratches, cracks, and creases, the glass shall be placed vertically under natural light, with the observer 0.6m away from the glass and their line of sight perpendicular to the glass surface.

Pattern skewness is classified into three types, measured with a metal ruler at a length h.
