Installation Process: Marking and Positioning → Aluminum Alloy Door and Window Drip Edge Installation → Anti-corrosion Treatment → Aluminum Alloy Door and Window Installation → Aluminum Alloy Window Fixing → Treatment of Gaps Between Door/Window Frames and Walls → Installation of Door/Window Sashes and Glass → Installation of Hardware.
Marking and Positioning: Based on the installation location, dimensions, and elevation of the doors and windows in the design drawings, measure the door/window edges outwards from the centerline. For multi-story or high-rise buildings, use the top floor door/window edge line as a reference, and use a plumb line or theodolite to extend the door/window edge line downwards, marking it at each floor's door/window opening. Any uneven edges should be chiseled out. The horizontal position of the doors and windows should be measured upwards from the +50cm horizontal line of the floor level, and a straight line should be drawn. The bottom elevation of the windows must be consistent on each floor.
Aluminum Alloy Window Drip Edge Installation: Fix the drip edge to the aluminum alloy window according to the construction drawings, ensuring correct positioning and secure installation.
Corrosion Protection Treatment: If the design specifies corrosion protection for the outer surface of the door and window frames, follow the design requirements. If the design does not specify, apply anti-corrosion paint or affix plastic film for protection to prevent cement mortar from directly contacting the aluminum alloy door and window surface, causing an electrochemical reaction and corrosion.
When installing aluminum alloy doors and windows, if using connecting iron parts for fixing, it is best to use stainless steel for all metal parts, including connecting iron parts and fasteners. Otherwise, anti-corrosion treatment is necessary to prevent electrochemical reactions and corrosion of the aluminum alloy doors and windows.
Aluminum Alloy Door and Window Installation: Install the aluminum alloy door and window frames according to the marked positioning lines. Adjust the horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lengths of the door and window frames to meet quality standards, and then temporarily fix them with wooden wedges.
Aluminum Alloy Door and Window Fixing: When iron parts are pre-embedded in the wall, the iron feet of the aluminum alloy doors and windows can be directly welded to the pre-embedded iron parts in the wall. The welded areas must be treated with rust prevention.
When there are no pre-embedded iron parts in the wall, metal expansion bolts or plastic expansion bolts can be used to fix the iron feet of the aluminum alloy doors and windows to the wall.
When there are no pre-embedded iron parts in the wall, an 80mm deep, 6mm diameter hole can be drilled in the wall with an electric drill. Use an L-shaped 80mm x 50mm 6mm rebar. Apply 108 adhesive cement slurry to the longer end and then insert it into the hole. After the 108 adhesive cement slurry has fully hardened, weld the iron feet of the aluminum alloy doors and windows to the embedded 6mm rebar.
Treatment of Gaps Between Door/Window Frames and the Wall
After the aluminum alloy doors and windows are installed and fixed, a concealed works inspection should be conducted first. After passing the inspection, the gaps between the door/window frames and the wall should be treated promptly according to the design requirements.
If the design does not specify requirements, elastic insulation material or glass wool strips can be used to fill the gaps in layers, leaving a 5-8mm deep groove on the outer surface for filling with caulking compound or sealant.
Installation of Door and Window Sashes and Glass
Door and window sashes and glass should be installed after the wall surface decoration of the opening is completed and inspected.
For sliding doors and windows, after the door and window frames are installed and fixed, the door and window sashes with glass are installed into the inner track of the frame, and the gap between the sash and the frame is adjusted.
For casement doors and windows, the glass is installed after the frame and sash frame are assembled and fixed to the wall. That is, first adjust the gap between the frame and the sash, then install the glass into the sash and adjust its position, and finally install the sealing strip and sealant.
For floor spring doors, the door sash should be installed after the door frame and floor spring unit are installed and fixed to the ground. First, embed the glass into the door sash frame and install it into the frame together, adjust the gap between the frame and the sash, and finally fill the door sash and glass with the sealing strip and sealant.
