The Development History Of Aluminum Alloy Windows

In the late 1980s, aluminum alloy windows, primarily made of aluminum alloy profiles, addressed some of the shortcomings of steel windows. However, the profiles themselves are metal, resulting in rapid heat conduction. The overall K-value of both steel and aluminum alloy windows was above 6.0 W/(m².K), failing to fundamentally solve problems related to sealing and insulation. Although double-glazed windows could be used, the overall K-value only reached around 4.5 W/(m².K).

 

In the mid-to-late 1990s, thermally broken aluminum alloy windows and doors appeared on the market, representing high-end products. The profile design incorporated high-strength insulating composite materials, and surface treatments employed advanced technologies such as powder coating, fluorocarbon coating, and resin thermal printing. This allowed for a wide range of color options.

 

The outstanding advantages of thermally broken aluminum alloy windows and doors are their lightweight, high strength, excellent water and air tightness, good fire resistance, large light transmission area, resistance to atmospheric corrosion, long service life, good decorative effect, and good environmental performance.

 

However, as people's living standards improve, they are paying more and more attention to health, environmental protection, and energy conservation. Insulated aluminum alloy windows and PVC windows cannot match interior decoration, cannot meet the aesthetic standards of modern people, and are not in line with the national policy of energy conservation.
