Apply protective film → Find the center line on the frame → Install fixing plates → Find the center line in the opening → Adjust and temporarily fix the frame in the opening → Connect to the wall → Fill with elastic material → Clean and caulking the opening finish → Install sash and glass hardware → Clean and remove protective film.
Installing fixing plates: Fixing plates are made of galvanized steel plates with a thickness of ≥1.5mm and a width of ≥15mm. During installation, use a φ3.2mm diameter drill bit to drill holes, then screw in M4x20mm Phillips head self-tapping screws; do not hammer them in directly. The bottom of the fixing plate should be at least 150-200mm from the window corner, middle vertical frame, and middle horizontal frame. The distance between fixing plates should be ≤600mm. Do not install fixing plates directly on the joints of the horizontal or vertical frames.
Temporary fixing: When installing the window frame into the opening, align the upper and lower frame lines with the center line of the opening. Then temporarily fix the window frame with wooden wedges and adjust the verticality, horizontality, and squareness of the window frame.
Fixed Connection to the Wall: The upper and lower frames should be fixed symmetrically first, followed by the side frames. Specific requirements are as follows: Concrete frames (Buildings 1, 2, and 5) and brick wall frames (Buildings 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8) should be reinforced with plastic expansion screws.
The positions of the plastic expansion screws are the same as those for the fixing plates in Section 5.2.
After the window frame is fixed, cover the bolt holes on the inside of the window frame with white plastic caps, and apply white sealant around the plastic caps to prevent rainwater from entering the window frame and corroding the steel lining.
Catalysis: The expansion joint cavity between the door/window frame and the opening should be filled in layers with closed-cell foam plastic or expanded polystyrene elastic material. The area between the inside and outside of the opening and the door/window frame should be smoothed with cement mortar. Near the hinge, the mortar should cover the door/window frame to a thickness that does not affect the opening of the sash. After the plaster has hardened, seal the outside with sealant.
If cement mortar is adhered to door and window frames, wipe it clean with a damp cloth before it hardens. Do not use hard materials to scrape the surface of the door and window frames.
Door and window sashes and hardware accessories should be installed after the cement mortar has hardened. During installation, first drill holes with an electric drill, then screw in self-tapping screws. Do not use a hammer or hard object to strike, as this may damage the frame material.
